My dad wrote, in the introduction of his new book that, "time has the power to diminish all human memory; that as it lapses from days to years, time wears away an event's vividness, sapping its brilliance, dimming its intensity." He added, "events with consequence, equally as those with none, suffer from the eroding bleakness of time's perpetual forward motion."
As I have been tasked to make the lay out & proofread the book, this passage struck me and in an instant I just had the compelling need to upload more of our wedding pics. It was a wonderful event, one I am not ashamed to show and certainly most proud to share. So thanks papa. :)
Looking at all these pictures made me realize that although our marriage is still in its infancy, I can't help but think that Ivan & I have been together forever! I mean, we were "on" for four years kaya siguro ganun. Ha ha!
I love seeing the faces of the people who mean so much to me, so happy (while some were in tears) and having a good time. I saw pictures of people at the wedding that I didn't know were even there! They all seemed to be enjoying themselves! And seeing my family and Ivan's family made me realize that ours is a truly blessed union! Really overwhelming.
Well, weddings are like that, it evokes a slew of emotions that overwhelms not just the bride and groom but all those who had a hand in preparing it, all those who took part in it, all who witnessed it.
It's amazing really, that such an event of dazzling immensity (at least in our lives) went off so smoothly -- considering we had over a thousand guests and the preparation took weeks and weeks. Thanks to my mom's unbelievable power in organizing, I did not feel a bit stressed. And thanks to my dad & my sisters & to Ivan's parents & of course to Ivan, my lovey-dovey as well. And of course you now know what happened a month after that wedding.. Yup, our little prince was conceived. He he!
Sigh.. Life has indeed been good and not a day passes by that I feel really blessed to have been given so much. My friends, I share these blessings with you.
